Portraits (Artist Statement)

“A thing that you see in my pictures is that I was not afraid to fall in love with these people.” – Annie Leibovitz

I’m growing fonder of portraits. Before, I despised them. The idea of trying to suggest poses for my model felt unnaturally silly and stiff. But, after countless requests for senior and graduation photography, I found a new kick out of showing off peoples’ true personality and understanding their own story.

I hope to reveal originality and natural beauty, glowing with hints of creative candid moments. In hopes to achieve this, I take as many portraits with as many different people as I can, diving into each experience with each unique person.
